Clover
Poem and Illustration by Jeffrey Duckworth
What's so great about four-leaf clovers?
They are the ones that are plucked from the ground.
Give me three leafs and let me keep my earth.

What's so great about four-leaf clovers?
They are the ones that are plucked from the ground.
Give me three leafs and let me keep my earth.
Tired of Cocka doodle-doing,
and life in a chicken pen.
A rooster flew south one night,
Wound up with a new girl-hen.
A beautiful flamingo was she,
They hatched an egg together.
What a site it was to see,
a rooster of pink feather.
